To Our Valued Employees,
The past six months have been quite a ride for many of us. There have been many ups and downs, highs and lows, but if you are reading this, it means we got through it intact, more or less. Congratulations, job well done, and you have my utmost gratitude.
In early June, our good old friend and founder, Don Wickelgren, paid us a long-overdue visit. We were able to reconnect and rebuild our connections with each other. From Iloilo HQ to Roxas to Bacolod to Cebu, I am more than happy to see everyone who welcomed each other with open arms - despite some of you only seeing each other in real life for the first time.
With this reconnection, we were reminded that we only work well as an organization depending on how well we work together as individuals coming from all walks of life. As the leader of the organization, part of my job is to reassure you that everything is running smoothly and it is business as usual. While I would love nothing more than to put you all at ease, I would not embody the honesty and integrity that Xilium stands for.
There are still many challenges ahead of us. We have much rocky waters to tread before we can say that we are off to sail smoothly. From the retention programs to help with our employment attrition rates, to the salary appraisal that everyone is on their toes for, to the HR and Branding initiatives that we are all looking forward to, to the many conferences, meetings, team buildings, and events that we will be joining. All of these are not problems to be solved but challenges to be met head on.
Xilium is you and you are Xilium. The organization would not have reached a decade's worth of milestones without the services you have rendered, the work ethics you have protected, and the company culture you have cultivated. Above all, I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me and to all of your leaders. You have entrusted us to hone, lead, and take you to greater heights as mentors and as friends.
If I may ask, please have a little bit more patience for us, the management. We are above and beyond honored to be a part of your career lives and we promise to try and return your efforts tenfold. As we journey together on the path to more growth and success, we ask that you walk with trust and respect for each other and for yourselves.
Wishing everyone a great latter half of the year. Fingers crossed that in the next six months, we can make the most out of what 2022 can offer. Keep safe and have a wonderful day!
Yours,Van
