Launch
of the Safe Spaces
Initiative

As an
initiative to cultivate Xilium as an
avenue for open conversation free of
conflict, abuse, and prejudice, we
announced the launch of the Safe Spaces
Initiative (SSI). The initiative
started with the introduction of
Rebranded Mental Health Programs and
Policies along with our new Mental
Health Counselor.

Valentine's
Day at Xilium

Last February 13 was all about winning in
love in Xilium's Valentine's celebration!
Each one gathered in their respective sites
just right before Valentine's Day on the
14th. They enjoyed the games and prizes,
Happy Snacks, and even came in different
colored clothes to "wear their relationship
status".

Young
at Art Program Flourishes in the
City of Smiles

Community building has always been at
the heart of Xilium's advocacies. That
same passion for bringing people
together translated into the company's
love for the arts, which ultimately led
to the creation of the Young at Art
Program, or simply known as YAP.
An initiative to promote the beauty of art and creativity while developing and building fundamental skills in art, Xilium has been conducting the Young at Art Program for past years, and teaching and showcasing art exhibits to children and teens.

In one of my usual meanders in an eskina
near Atrium, I could not help but get
lost in the textural narratives of the walls
- the peeled-off paint, the smell of tucked
karinderyas, the doodled love stories and
revolt, the madly intertwining electric
wires: like metaphors for the entanglement
of dreams and clamors above and throughout
this city. The eskinas and eskinitas - I've always had an affinity for them. Perhaps now, I can vulnerably admit that I kind of live many layers of my life as an outsider. And these dimmer unknown corners of Iloilo have given me comfort. I can pass through them with a state of peace in anonymity, in humbleness, and in radical otherness.

superpower that most of us do not
recognize. As cheesy as it may sound,
without self-love we fall into
sabotaging habits that can impact
relationships, work, health, and more.
